Luke Faull (retired)

From the coach's mouth:

Team strengths: "They're very proud at the moment the playing list of their back six, they're a very cohesive unit as well through the midfield. Obviously the midfield being able to supply the forward line including Darmo (Marcus Darmody) was a real positive but probably not really spoken about the back six and the job that they did. That's something that I'm looking to work with the playing group and make sure that we try to get the back six and the midfield group back to the point that they were at at the end of 2019."

Biggest improvements: "Probably a few more avenues to goal. Probably not that much of a secret that Darmo's obviously kicked a lot of goals in 2018 and cracked the ton in 2019, so just letting the playing list know that there's an opportunity for boys to go down and kick a few goals when they do get the opportunity. Any of those juniors that are on the way through, any guys that are sort of playing out of position at the moment just letting them know that there are positions up forward where we will need to be giving Darmo a chop-out, because he might have a couple of guys on him each week."

Players to be excited about: "Everybody knows about the older players within the footy side, so Darmo, Myles and Adam Sewell, Dan Wehrung, Matt Cosgrave's playing his 350th game this year, so hopefully we'll see him floating around the back pocket. A lot of juniors coming through from a couple of years ago so Devon Orr, he's a midfielder who can swap through the half-back flank. Very similar with Marcus Tilley, he's another junior who's been playing really well off the half-back flank who might move through the wing as well. Seamus Murphy-Mckay as well who's a very whippy wingman, so they're a few guys that weren't included in the recruits or the re-signings. So they're some juniors essentially that had a little bit of senior experience and they've obviously developed over the last 18 months."
