2nd Week of 2016 Finals

After two weeks of finals we still have 2 junior netball teams representing the club.

Our U15 Netball teams started the ball rolling with a great win in double extra time. They showed what a determined resilient team they have became. To come out on top in such a tight arm wrestle will give the girls great confidence going into this weeks action

The U13s took out a comprehensive win to also proceed to this weeks action. The girls have turned into a cohesive unit and it’s a credit to our junior program to see such great results all of the girls they are progressing well with their skills and it’s obvious that they have a good competitive nature. The U13s now join our U15s this week as they strive to get through to a grand final. Everyone at the club wishes these teams all the best and will be there supporting each team we know that the kids will give it their all and represent the club with distinction.

The U18 Footballers once again displayed tenacity and resilience to take the game right up to their highly fancied opponents. The guys were on their game throughout, playing with maturity and desperation Cormac Prendergast and Josh Milne led the way getting excellent support from Luke Prendergast and Devon Orr whilst Fraser Hay capitalised on the team’s hard work with 3 fine goals. The boys continued to harass and tackle making each loose ball a contest regaining possession through pressure and persistence. Unfortunately the guys fell short of a great win by just 9 points although they can be very proud of the way they have represented the club.

A big thankyou to our army of volunteers who will be helping out with the canteen this weekend your support is greatly appreciated.
